How to preserve it

We recommend keeping Parmigiano Reggiano ‘Mountain Product’ over 12 months at a temperature between 4°C and 8°C. Once removed from the vacuum pack, it is best to avoid storing Parmesan cheese near other foods, as the fatty part of Parmesan tends to absorb the odours of products in the refrigerator. Freezing is not recommended, so as not to spoil the goodness of the product or damage the nutritional substances it contains. We recommend using a glass or plastic container and not leaving the cheese uncovered in the refrigerator. A Parmigiano Reggiano over 12 months stored correctly can last a long time without losing its properties.
